Chapter 750-1 ORGANIZATION
All rules and regulations pertaining to the Administration of the State Board of Examiners for Certification of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators and Laboratory Analysts shall be administered by the Professional Licensing Boards Division of the Office of Secretary of State.
The Georgia State Board of Examiners for Certification of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators and Laboratory Analysts shall consist of six members to be appointed by the Governor.
The officers of the Board shall be Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson who shall be elected from among the members and shall take office on July 1 of each year.
The Board shall meet at least two times a year to carry out regular business. The chairperson or the Division Director may call special meetings. Notice of the meeting shall be given to all members at least ten days prior to date of the meeting. Parliamentary procedure shall be according to Robert's Rules of Order, latest edition.
A majority of the appointed members of a state examining board shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.
The division shall classify all public water supply systems and wastewater treatment plants with due regard to the size, type, character of water or wastewater to be treated and other physical conditions affecting such systems or treatment plants, according to the skill, knowledge, and experience that the operator in responsible charge must have to operate the facilities successfully so as to protect the public health and welfare and prevent unlawful pollution.
