Chapter 267-4 LOW-INCOME WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Rule 267-4-.01 Purpose
In compliance with the "Fair and Open Grants" Article of the "Budget Accountability and Planning Act of 1993," following is the information on a grant program being implemented in the winter of 1999.
Rule 267-4-.02 The Name of the Grant Program
Low-Income Weatherization Assistance Program.
Rule 267-4-.03 The Citation to Statutory Basis for the Grant Program in the Official Code of Georgia Annotated or Other General Law of the State of Georgia
Funded from Stripper Well Overcharge funds.
Rule 267-4-.04 The General Scope and Purpose of the Grant Program
To assist eligible low income families by making their homes more energy efficient; thereby, reducing their monthly utility expenditures.
Rule 267-4-.05 General Terms and Conditions of the Grant
There are 22 agencies eligible to receive these funds. The funds will be divided equally among each agency according to their geographical service area. There is $225,000 available in Stripper Well funds.
Rule 267-4-.06 Eligible Recipients of the Grant
Existing non-profit or public weatherization providers, as identified in the 1999 State Weatherization Plan.
Rule 267-4-.07 The Criteria for the Award of the Grant
Funds will be awarded to agencies identified in the 1999 Low-Income Weatherization Plan.
Rule 267-4-.08 Directions and Deadlines for Applying for Such Grant
Funds will be awarded to eligible agencies on an equal basis. Requests must be received by January 17, 2000. Request should be mailed to:
