Chapter 267-21 LOW-INCOME WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAMEXXON CARRYOVER FUNDS
Rule 267-21-.01 Purpose
In compliance with the "Fair and Open Grants" Article of the "Budget Accountability and Planning Act of 1993," following is the information on a grant program being implemented in the spring of 2000.
Rule 267-21-.02 The Name of the Grant Program
Low-Income Weatherization Assistance Program-Exxon Carryover funds.
Rule 267-21-.03 The Citation to Statutory Basis for the Grant Program in the Official Code of Georgia Annotated or Other General Law of the State of Georgia
Funded from Department of Energy (DOE) funds.
Rule 267-21-.04 The General Scope and Purpose of the Grant Program
To assist eligible low income families by making their homes more energy efficient; thereby, reducing their monthly utility expenditures.
Rule 267-21-.05 General Terms and Conditions of the Grant
There are 22 agencies eligible to receive these funds. The funds are awarded to each agency based on a funding formula which takes into consideration geographic area and number of low income households. There is $511,564 available in Exxon carryover funds.
Rule 267-21-.06 Eligible Recipients of the Grant
Existing nonprofit or public weatherization providers, as identified in the 1999 State Weatherization Plan.
Rule 267-21-.07 The Criteria for the Award of the Grant
Funds will be awarded to agencies identified in the 1999 Low-Income Weatherization Plan.
Rule 267-21-.08 Directions and Deadlines for Applying for Such Grant
Funds will be awarded to eligible agencies on an equal basis. Request must be received by January 17, 2000. Request should be mailed to:
