Chapter 267-1 REGIONAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT INCENTIVE GRANT PROGRAM
Rule 267-1-.01 Purpose
The purpose of the Regional Solid Waste Management Incentive Grant Program is to provide financial assistance to Georgia general purpose local governments (cities and counties) and regional solid waste management authorities and coalitions in managing municipal solid waste on a regional basis.

Rule 267-1-.04 The General Scope and Purpose of the Grant Program
To help Georgia local governments develop a regional approach to integrated municipal solid waste management.
Rule 267-1-.05 General Terms and Conditions of the Grant
Local Governments and solid waste management authorities are funded up to $75,000. Total allowable grant for each successful applicant is $75,000.
Rule 267-1-.06 Eligible Recipients of the Grant
Georgia local governments or authorities or coalitions of local governments. Applications must include two or more local governments. (Two cities, one county and city, two counties, etc.).
Rule 267-1-.07 The Criteria for the Award of the Grant
Local governments must have formed or must demonstrate an interest in forming solid waste management authorities or coalitions for managing municipal solid waste on a regional basis. Consideration will be given to the number of local governments, the waste streams, and the proposed project or activity budget in an established or proposed region.
Rule 267-1-.08 Directions and Deadlines for Applying for Such Grant
Applications must be received by June 21, 1996. Facsimile copies will not be accepted or considered for funding. Two copies of the application should be mailed to:
