class="leftalign"> To preserve, conserve, protect and enhance the resources under the custody of the State Parks and Historic Sites System for the enjoyment of present and future generations.</td> </tr> </table> <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="4" cellpadding="4"> <tr> <td valign="top" width="1%" style="white-space:nowrap;text-align:left;width:18px;"><a style="white-space:nowrap;" name="391-5-1-.01(c)">(c)</a></td> <td valign="top" style="text-align:left" class="leftalign"> To provide appropriate recreational opportunities for Georgia residents and visitors that will permit maximum enjoyment of parks and historic sites consistent with the protection of their resources.</td> </tr> </table> <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="4" cellpadding="4"> <tr> <td valign="top" width="1%" style="white-space:nowrap;text-align:left;width:18px;"><a style="white-space:nowrap;" name="391-5-1-.01(d)">(d)</a></td> <td valign="top" style="text-align:left" class="leftalign"> To operate a balanced, ongoing interpretation, education and outdoor recreation program designed to expand the knowledge and understanding of Georgia's history, prehistory, fauna, flora, geography, geology, and other aspects of its natural and cultural resources in a manner consistent with the protection of the environment.</td> </tr> </table> <h2><a href="/GAC/391-5-1-.02" name="391-5-1-.02" title="391-5-1-.02">Rule 391-5-1-.02 Definitions</a></h2> <P>For the purpose of these rules and regulations, the following definitions shall apply:</P> <table border="0" valign="top" style="text-align:left" class="leftalign"> "Aircraft" means a device that is used or intended to be used for human flight in the air, including powerless flight.</td> </tr> </table> <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="4" cellpadding="4"> <tr> <td valign="top" width="1%" style="white-space:nowrap;text-align:left;width:18px;"><a style="white-space:nowrap;" name="391-5-1-.02(c)">(c)</a></td> <td valign="top" style="text-align:left" class="leftalign"> "Associate" means a paid staff employee of the division.</td> </tr> </table> <table border="0" <td valign="top" style="text-align:left" class="leftalign"> "Authorized representative" means an associate or agent of the division with delegated authority to enforce the provisions of this name="391-5-1-.02(g)">(g)</a></td> <td valign="top" style="text-align:left" class="leftalign"> "Division" means the Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites Division of the department.</td> </tr> </table> name="391-5-1-.02(h)">(h)</a></td> <td valign="top" style="text-align:left" class="leftalign"> "Director" means the director of the division or his designee.</td> </tr> </table> <table border="0" Such use must be directly in keeping with the approved purposes of the citizen support organization as outlined in the agreement, and may not be made at times or places that would unreasonably interfere with opportunities for the general public to use the site or sites for established purposes. Anticipated uses would include, but are not limited to, volunteer site work, organization membership meetings, fund-raising and publicity events.
